You may have noticed a decline in recent postings from me. This is due to a serious lack of equine subjects. When I'm in Virginia it's a lot easier to take enough photos to post on a daily basis, but at home all I have to be inspired by are 4 dirt-covered horses who don't do much more than eat and sleep. I promise to post new photos as soon as I have them.
The artist Rod Skidmore is doing a painting of my friend Sacha and her horse Mick, and he has asked me to take photos for him to work from. I'm really excited; this is my first experience working with a legitimate artist.
I think photo booths are a beautiful invention.
Today I learned that it is better to eat a lobster than to be colored like one. Owwwww.
My friend Sarah introduced me to the show Supernatural. It's about two brothers, Sam and Dean, who run around hunting ghosts and spirits and such. It's a great show, if you like scary movie-type stuff. Of course, I can only watch it when it's light outside, or it creeps me out.
Hot tubs are great for relaxing, but they have the pesky habit of causing dehydration.
Spending extended amounts of time in a jump saddle really does a number on my knees (which is sad, because I'm not even old yet.) So this blog comes to you while I am holding ice packs on my knees with my computer.
Ever since school got out for the summer my deadliest sin has been sloth. I spend waaaaay too much time in bed.

A horse's foot is one of the most important parts of its body. When it comes down to it, the foot bears all the weight of the horse, and the pressure exerted by the force of its movements. Needless to say, the hoof is a crucial part of the horse's body, which makes it a bad thing when the hoof is anything less than perfectly healthy.
