Leaving On A Jet Plane

Today I travel back to my school in Virginia. Part of what I miss the most while I'm at school is the four horses we keep at our house.

Our pastures get very muddy during the winter, and so the horses stay in the barn. After it rains, I like to take them down to the pasture and let them run around a little to get all of their pent up energy out of their systems. This photo is the result of one of those romps. 

Cleaning House

I spent most of yesterday and today cleaning, re-organizing, and storing all of the horse tack at home. It allowed me the chance to take a stroll down memory lane as I found horseshoes from old horses, my first jumping vest, and our first horse's brushbox.

In the spirit of these memories, I chose a photo taken by my mother of me, my sister, and our first horse, Shawnee, when I was 9.
