Jessica Duffy is currently a Sophomore at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. She plans to major in Business Management and minor in Studio Art with a concentration in photography.
Born in Sebastopol, California, Jessica attended Sonoma Country Day School in Santa Rosa where trips to Yosemite and Point Reyes National Seashore inspired her to begin taking photos. She attended Analy High School in Sebastopol where she continued to take art classes, including a basic black and white photography class during her Junior year.
During her first term at Washington & Lee, she took another beginning photography class and decided to change her single major to a double major.
Jessica is also a competitor in the equestrian sport of Eventing, a combination of Dressage, Cross-Country, and Stadium Jumping.
Since she was 3 years old, she has had a passion for horses. At age 9, she began taking lessons, and was competing by age 12. Now, at the age of 19, she has taken her competitive endeavor to the east coast, and is competing with Sunrise Stables, where she has the opportunity to train with top riders such as Jimmy Wofford, Sharon White, and Lynn Symansky.
