Jessica Duffy is currently attending Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. She has declared a major in Business Management and a minor in Studio Art, concentrating in Photography.
Born in Sebastopol, California, Jessica attended Sonoma Country Day School in Santa Rosa where trips to Point Reyes National Seashore and Yosemite National Park inspired her to begin taking photos. She attended Analy High School in Sebastopol where she continued to take art classes, including a beginning black and white photography class during her Junior year. During her first term at Washington and Lee, she took another introductory photo class and decided to add a minor in Studio Art to her degree.
Jessica is also a competitor in the equestrian sport of Eventing, a combination of Dressage, Cross-Country, and Stadium Jumping.
Since she was 3 years old, Jessica has had a passion for horses. She started taking lessons when she was 9, and was competing by the time she was 12. Now, at the age of 20, she has taken her competitive endeavor to the east coast. Competing with Sunrise Stables in Lexington, Virginia, she has the opportunity to train with top riders such as Jimmy Wofford, Sharon White, and Lynn Symansky. She plans to move up to the Preliminary level in the spring of 2011 with her newest partner, Tommy.
